Ban on plastic bags, Kumbaro: They are the most terrible bullets, pollutants
Mirela Kumbaro

Since June 1, the ban on single-use bags has come into force. As of the beginning of this July, the government has announced that the fine will come into effect for entities that continue to use plastic bags thinner than 70 microns.

In the interview for the show "Pa Protokoll", Minister Mirela Kumbaro described single-use plastic bags as "one of the terrible bullets" as polluters of land and water. As he showed the statistics, he said that this law on bags was necessary since they cause great harm.

"Bags are one of the most terrible bullets that are treated all over the world as one of the biggest polluters of the earth, especially of water. Single-use bags, according to calculations by the Ministry and our partners, every Albanian used about 3 bags a day, so he kept them for 12 minutes and threw them away. Calculate the number of billions a year that are thrown into the territory. They spread very easily and end up in water and do not decompose even in hundreds of years, but are transformed into a poisonous product for living things and are brought to our plate later If our planet continues like this, there will be more bags than fish in the oceans and seas," Kumbaro said.
