'Lack of respect', the ambassadors of Germany and France leave when
Ambassador of France Elizabeth Barsacq and that of Germany, Peter Zingraf and Edi Ram

The ambassador of France, Elizabeth Barsacq , and that of Germany, Peter Zingraff , were seated in the first row of guests at the meeting organized by the government for the fiscal amnesty. They heard the Minister of Finance, Delina Ibrahimi, Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj and a barrister from Great Britain speak about the amnesty, the specifics of the law and the benefits of the initiative.


But as soon as the floor was given to Prime Minister Rama, the French ambassador made a sign to the German. Both of them walked away and left the meeting, as if they had done it verbally earlier.

This moment was captured by the directorate of the prime minister, who tried to avoid the demonstrative departure of the ambassadors. Footage from the live broadcast can be seen in the video below:

Rama seems to have been upset and after a pause of a few seconds he started talking to the absent ambassadors. In his speech, the prime minister asked for respect from the international community, which cannot treat Albania as an enemy country.
