Today, the final farewell was given to the former Prime Minister and historic leader of the Socialist Party, Fatos Nano .

At the funeral ceremony and in public reactions, personalities from political and institutional life praised his role in the consolidation of the state, economic reforms, and Albania's Euro-Atlantic path.

In this context, the former government spokesman of that period, Aldrin Dalipi , for Tch , focused on Nano's influence and vision during his years in power, emphasizing his contributions to the transformation of the country, European integration and support for the Albanian cause in the region.

" Of course, the years 2002-2005 were an important period when I worked as a spokesperson for the government and Prime Minister Nano, they were years of Albania's transformation. They were years of great transformation for Albania, you know very well that Albania was taken from complete economic and social collapse in '97, and left with sound economic parameters, with consolidated banks. Of course, also as a young reformer in terms of laws.

The anti-mafia law has been approved. I would also like to link its dimension to its relationship with Albania's European path, where they began with some important reforms for Albania's European integration.  

At that time, Mr. Nano was constantly traveling to Brussels to advance this important process, but also to the United States of America to consolidate important steps towards NATO.

You remember that Albania as a candidate and Prime Minister Nano was in the White House for the admission of several Baltic countries, but that Albania was on their side to continue their integration into NATO together, another important parameter that I think was seen in the reaction of Mr. Thaçi, Kurti, but which had a determining role in the Kosovo war, in support of the liberation war.

Kosovo's factors said that when the history of Kosovo is written, Nano will also play a special role with the support he has given to factors in Kosovo, Albanians in North Macedonia, and wherever they were.

"So I think these made Mr. Nano an excellent politician, a visionary leader. Without Fatos Nano, Albania would have had a much more difficult transition, because he kept painful wounds in his own body as if it were a prison or other elements ," he said.
