The last session of the 10th legislature has started with debates on the fire at the waste landfill in Elbasan. The opposition requested a parliamentary debate on the issue, saying it is an environmental disaster.
Democratic MP Qani Xhafa also spoke in the Assembly about the fire at the Elbasan landfill, which he said was intentional. He also referred to Prime Minister Edi Rama's meeting the day before in Cërrik, which he called a theater.
When Democratic MP Zheni Gjergji took the floor to speak about the fire in the waste field in Elbasan, the Speaker of the Assembly did not allow her to speak, arguing that it was not a procedural matter. The Democratic MP blocked the floor for a few minutes and got involved in a debate with Spiropali.
Gjergji: The fire in Elbasan is a strong alarm for the dramatic state of the environment...
Spiropali: Don't abuse the procedure...
