The chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted with doses of irony to the loss of Zegjine Çaushi's mandate, following the recount of votes in the Fier district.
Bardhi's reaction came through a post on social media, writing that Çaushi has followed "the model of Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku."
Bardhi, who was also the leader of the DP for the Fier region, writes that the socialist has unfairly taken what comes her way, referring to the undeserved votes that resulted in Çaushi benefiting from the May 11 elections, revealed by the recount process.
"The recount in Fier confirmed that the two closest people are thieves like the TUTOR herself!"
Belinda Balluku's stars in Fier Zeqirja and Cenushi: One with a stolen mandate and the other with stolen votes. Ceno Klosi has theft in his blood, he started it with taxes and ended it with votes, but the pity is for the young people in the SP who follow Belinda's model, taking what comes to them without right. Ordinary thieves! ", writes Bardhi on social networks.
Between Çaushi and Bardhi, there has been an "online war" of barbs and often ridiculous statements. Initially, these statements seemed to work in favor of the socialist, as she initially won the mandate, but this "favor was quickly eroded" after the results of the vote recount process in the Fier district.
The socialist lost the mandate by 10 votes to Maldrita Bardho. After the recount, Çaushi was found to have 48 unmerited votes, for a total of 4026 votes. Including the votes of the diaspora, 600 of them, the total number went to 4626 votes for him. But on the other hand, 26 votes were unjustly taken away from Maldrita Bardho.
From the opened ballot boxes, it turned out that there were 3616 votes in total. What opened the "door to victory" were the 1020 votes from the diaspora. In total, 4636 votes were cast for Bardho, 10 more than Çaushi, but enough to get him the mandate.
