The head of the parliamentary group of the SP, Taulant Balla, has spoken again about the scandal published two days ago in the media, which talks about the implication of the former chairperson of the LSI and MP of the Freedom Party, Monika Kryemadhi, in Russian connections, where undeclared bank accounts and invoices in banks in Switzerland, Portugal and Cyprus are discovered.

The published documents show payments made by Russian oil businessmen with Mrs. Kryemadhi as the beneficiary, which she has not declared.

In a television interview, Balla stated that according to the documents, Kryemadhi is a co-shareholder in the companies of Russian oligarchs, and according to him, this is money coming from Vladimir Putin to damage the democracies in the Western Balkan countries.

Balla further added that when it comes to money coming from Russia, it is a matter of national interest, apart from other criminal offences.

"This is the second case of an event that has been going on since 2017. Albania has shown that it is not isolated, it is not immune to the Kremlin's, Russia's and Vladimir Putin's plan to damage democracies in European countries. Albania is not isolated in this respect. It is about a plan that was announced by the American intelligence agencies, from the CIA, in September of last year that Russia has spent about 300 million dollars in payments to political actors from 2014 onwards. It is about payments from the documents made public, they are payments for being a shareholder in a company.

It is not about accusations of the Socialist Party, but about facts published by the media in Albania and the European media following the evidence that came out many years ago and that we all know that the Kremlin, Putin, have paid money to damage democracies of the countries of the Western Balkans and other countries in Europe. As was the case with the DP's 500,000 dollars, which we now all agree that when we told these facts, this is what they said, but it also turned out to be true in the CIA documents. Now we have a new set of evidence, what has come to the public, the media have released some documents that Kryemadhi turns out to be the beneficiary of dividends with money transfers from bank accounts of companies owned by some Russian citizens, who we find to be not only citizens common,

When you transfer dividends, it means that you are a shareholder. Dividend is the distribution of profit among shareholders. When it comes to money transfers coming from Russia, this is a matter of national interest, as there are other criminal offenses, because when you are a shareholder in a company you have to declare them." Balla declared.
