The Council of Mandates met today to review the request of the Democratic Party group for the removal of the mandate of MP Olta Xhaçka.

The Council of Mandates will decide whether to send the request to the Constitutional Court or not.

The head of the PD Group, Enkelejd Alibeaj said that the request meets all the criteria.

Klotilda Bushka from the Socialist Party demanded the postponement of the meeting, arguing that they are not yet familiar with the documentation.

" A motion has been filed by 1/10 of the deputies, it is required to follow the procedure for the invalidity and termination of Olta Xhacka's mandate. The request is filed, signed by 14 deputies, as required by the Constitution.

In addition to filing the motion, the relevant facts and evidence related to the granting of the status of strategic investor to the respective company related to Xhacka are attached, the extracts obtained from the state institution that determine who is the partner of the company.

The request has all the elements, the legal positions, the violation, the analysis of the facts and the part of the evidence have been determined ", said Alibeaj.
