Ilir Meta
The former president of the Republic, Ilir Meta, has been informed since May that it was discovered that he was part of the former State Security.
In a letter reporting the work of the Authority for Information on State Security Files, the Authority announces that a decision was made on May 17, 2022, that pursuant to a letter dated September 14, 2021, Meta was notified with a copy of the material for it.
The Authority clarifies that there are 140 pages of material for Meta from the Security files in disk and photocopy format. The content of the materials has not yet been disclosed.
