The panel of the Constitutional Court has decided not to review the case of Gërdec for Fatmir Mediu. The former Minister of Defense is accused of the explosion of ammunition in the dismantling factory in the village of Gërdec in 2008.
Mediu appealed to the Constitutional Court in April of this year to appeal the decision of the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court has earlier dismissed the appeal of the former Minister of Defense against the decision of the Special Court of Appeal that accepted SPAK's request to reopen the investigation into the Gërdeci file.
"The College considers that the petitioner has not exhausted the available effective legal means, therefore the request cannot be considered in the plenary session", it is stated, among other things, in the decision of the Constitutional College.
The explosion in 2008 caused 26 victims, including children, while nearly 250 others were injured.
