Member of Parliament Mesila Doda has given a statement to the media where she spoke about the meeting held with Speaker Lindita Nikolla regarding the publication of the initials of the senior IM official who is accused of being a former member of the State Security.
Doda said that a request would be made for the Files Authority to publish a report on the purity of the 140 deputies of the assembly, so that there would be a certainty that there were no more former state security employees in politics.
Member of Parliament, Mesila Doda: On the initiative from the Files Authority, we had before us a material with sensitive content. This prompts me to return to your memory that I and Idrizi himself have previously proposed with the students to open the files. It is a dish that cannot be swallowed. But the political games have made it unclear about this part. What I asked from Nikola, is to ask the file authority for the purity of the picture for the 140 deputies. If after 32 years we still have among us people with a dark past in the state insurance files, it means that we have failed as a state.
Names should be made public, not initials placed there. I only got to know the initials, for the rest we will have to have the opportunity to have a good law. I cannot tell you the content of the document, but we must make a strong law that separates us from that period.
