President Bajram Begaj has decreed the appointment of Gent Ibrahim as the youngest member of the Constitutional Court. He competed together with Arta Vorpsi and Arta Marku, for the vacant position left by Parparim Kalo.

According to the assessment of the Judicial Appointments Council, Gent Ibrahimi ranked first with 88.38 points, followed by Arta Vorpsi with 88.22 points and Arta Marku with 82.66 points.

Gent Ibrahimi was earlier the head of the High Council of Prosecution.

PUBLIC NOTICE ON THE APPOINTMENT OF THE JUDGE OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT

The President of the Republic, Sh.TZ Bajram Begaj has administered by the Judicial Appointments Council, the Final Ranking List of Candidates allowed to run and the Reasoned Report of their Ranking, to fill the vacancy in the Constitutional Court, full vacancy, established in the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, with the end of the mandate of judge Pëparim Kalo, announced by the President of the Republic with Decree no. 13413 dated 13.01.2022.

According to the documentary practice sent, the Council of Appointments in Justice, with decision no. 46 dated 28.10.2022 has decided the approval of the Final Ranking List of Candidates for judge in the Constitutional Court, in the vacant position, full vacancy announced by the President of the Republic on 13.01.2022, as follows:

1. Mr. Genti Ibrahimi 88.38 points

2. Mrs. Arta Vorpsi 88.22 points

3. Mrs. Arta Marku 82.66 points

The President of the Republic, after recognizing and evaluating the documentary decision-making practice of the Judicial Appointments Council, as well as evaluating the need for the completion and functioning of the Constitutional Court, in support of Articles 93, 125 point 1, 127 point 3, 129, 149/ d point 1, of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, articles 7, 7/a point 4, 7/b, of law no. 8577, dated 10.02.2000, "On the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania", of amended, with Decree no. 13877, dated 7.12.2022, decided that: Mr. Genti Ibrahimi be appointed a judge in the Constitutional Court.
