The National Council of the Democratic Party announced last night the 20 new members of the Presidency.

In the early hours of Thursday, around 4 am, the election commission headed by Gazment Bardhi announced the list of winners, among whom Ilda Zhulali received the most votes.

On the men's list, it is learned that Grigels Muçollari has secured 170 votes, while Arjan Ndoja, Edi Paloka, Gent Strazimiri, Fidel Kreka and Luan Baçi are not listed among those voted for.

In the competition held yesterday, activist Julia Emiri was elected as chairwoman of the DP National Council.

Activist Emiri managed to secure 207 votes, while the other candidate Silva Hasaj received 83 votes.

With the votes received, Julia Emiri has secured the "chair" of Edi Paloka, who has been the chairman of the National Council until now.

On the other hand, Sali Berisha has decided to make a fundamental restructuring in the leadership of the Democratic Party, not re-nomining more than half of the members elected over the last four years.

Of the 17 previously elected members, Sali Berisha has decided not to re-run more than half, giving another direction to the leadership structure.

Nine names, who were among the early supporters of the Pulpit and the Reestablishment, will no longer be part of the leadership emerging from the National Council.

Among them, the former Speaker of the Parliament, Jozefina Topalli, as well as MPs Bardh Spahia, Eno Bozdo and Ina Zhupa stand out.
