Edi Rama: I'm a sucker for insults, but don't read the comments at all

Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, today hosted the Grant 2026 event by Innovation4Albania (I4A), where the winning startups and incubators/accelerators that will be supported through Grant 2026 were announced, with a doubled fund of 6 million euros for innovative entrepreneurship.

After explaining the process and the doubling of the fund, the prime minister ended his speech with a piece of advice for all those present. He said he had heard that they were being bullied after receiving government funds to build these projects. Rama suggested that they not read the comments at all, as according to him, they are not what determine their value or work.

"Finally, I have a word about a very ugly recent phenomenon that has also affected some of those who have benefited from the start-up, which is their online bullying with all kinds of insults, insults, accusations, from sources that are unworthy of your attention.

And since in this field I am a stranger to the volume of insults, fabricated accusations, I want to share a very simple experience, don't go down to the comments! They are not representative of what you do, who you are, and not only in this very busy time that the algorithm has gone into a hysterical phase but at any time, I used to respond to commentators based on the idea that they deserve respect, attention, and answers, but I realized that it was wrong, that instead of receiving positive feedback, I increased the amount of mud that was thrown back at me. Since then, not only did I stop responding, but I no longer go down to see them, only if you do this will you understand that you are who you want to be. ", the prime minister said, among other things.
