Belinda Balluku is not participating in the Socialist Party parliamentary group meeting, where it will be decided whether SPAK will be given authorization to arrest her or not.

The meeting began with a speech by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who complained about the mass arrests of prosecutors, the New Year's Eve checks, and the judges' decision to suspend Balluku from office.

Rama's rhetoric towards the judiciary has completely reversed from that of a few months ago, when he made it clear to the Socialists that there will be no criticism and attacks on the judiciary, even if any of the MPs were treated as guinea pigs.

Since being indicted, Belinda Balluku has spoken only once in parliament, failing to provide an alibi for the accusation that SPAK has raised for violating equality in tenders. In the latest report to the Mandates Council, SPAK prosecutors said that Balluku risks 35 years in prison in total, if all the charges against her are proven.
