Prime Minister Edi Rama criticized the justice institutions at today's meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, speaking about the investigations of administration employees.

He said that the presumption of innocence must be respected and that suspects cannot be summoned to the Prosecutor's Office and held for hours during working hours, while adding that they are pressured to admit guilt that they are not guilty of.

"We will not raise any allegations that hinder investigations against anyone, and why is this alibi just to make a fuss when packaged as an arrest package?"

They go to his apartment for a check on New Year's Eve, or by calling him to the prosecutor's office to admit to a crime he didn't commit, he's a press, he's a press... what's this mess where people are called from work in droves, during working hours, and kept there for hours without asking, do you have any work? Do you have a meeting? Deadline?

"That we work for the same state. And they are called when they should actually be on duty for natural emergencies, as if only prosecutors work for the state. People have the right to be presumed innocent and to be investigated in freedom until proven guilty," said Rama.
