Borrell and Varhelyi are coming to Tirana today (Agenda)

The High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, and the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, will visit Tirana today.

The visit will last two days, on March 15 and 16.

First, Borrell will meet with Prime Minister Edi Rama, then EU officials will meet for the Stabilization and Association Council, which is expected to be held in our country.

After the Council, High Representative Borrell, Prime Minister Rama and Commissioner Várhelyi will hold a joint press conference around 12:00.

The Stabilization-Association Council meets once a year to carry out a general evaluation of the implementation of the SAA and examines any important issues arising from its implementation.

In addition, the political dialogue at the parliamentary level between Albania and the EU takes place in the framework of the SAA, which foresees the creation of the Parliamentary Stabilization and Association Committee, which consists of members of the European Parliament and the Assembly of Albania.
