Gazment Bardhi, the chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, spoke at the Kosovo Assembly, where a joint meeting with the Albanian Parliament was held.
He emphasized that Albanian tradition requires that you advise your brother at home, because doing so in public hurts and weakens you, and this is a stab in the back.
Rama: Kosovo should normalize relations with Serbia for the sake of our national unification with Brussels as the capital
"I could talk at length about what has happened in Albania over the last 10 years, but this is neither the place nor the occasion.
We have a tradition that we do not give our brother criticism or advice in public, but we do it when we are alone and in a low voice so that it cannot be heard outside. Because when criticism or advice is given to our brother publicly, it hurts him, weakens his position in the international arena, and is a stab in the back to our brother, Kosovo.
"The Albanian tradition demands that in the house of a brother, sister, friend, where we are all today, you behave with honor and respect and not use it to settle scores with other guests. I have no desire to break this noble tradition of our people, even though one of my predecessors tried to transfer our internal political debate to this honorable hall ," Gazment Bardhi said in the Kosovo Assembly.
