The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, in his public appearance on "Prva" television, has stated that he does not believe that the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has said that the Open Balkans has fulfilled its mission and that the Berlin Process must now be continued. .
Vučić spoke out against Rama's idea that "we must now plunge headlong into the Berlin Process" and said he hopes to meet him soon.
"I do not believe that Rama said this. I hope I can see him soon. The Open Balkans is an autonomous and autochthonous idea of the people from the Balkans," said Vucic.
He said that he will always consider that any idea created in the region is "better than those that come from abroad".
"This is an expression of our wishes and relations, not something we do under someone else's rule," said the Serbian president.
The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, said yesterday from Ulcinj that the "Open Balkan" initiative has completed the mission for which it was born and said that it was to push forward the Berlin Process.
