Shortly before the start of the meeting of the Commission for Electoral Reform, co-chairman Enkelejd Alibeaj from the ranks of the Democratic Party once again presented the DP's proposals regarding the changes in the Electoral Reform. In a statement to the media. Alibaej said that DP wants open lists, national proportional system, counting and electronic voting as well as the vote of the diaspora.

I will present the main points that DP has already submitted to the Electoral Reform Commission. There are 4 main issues. In identifying these issues, we started from the greatest interest of Albanians.

The first one is about open lists. Our proposal provides more clearly that our system in RSH will have to be with open lists. It will be the Albanians who will choose who the Albanians want to vote for.

Secondly, our proposal is about what should be proportional national based on the equality of the vote. The vote of the Albanians will have to be equal and have the same weight. Albania, one zone, is the simplest system that optimizes and guarantees this equality of votes.

The third issue concerns electronic voting and counting. Albania 2025 needs electronic voting and counting.

The fourth issue is related to the vote of the diaspora. It is a constitutional obligation. We have proposed that every Albanian who is outside the territory of the republic needs to vote,' said Alibeaj
