Prime Minister Edi Rama was present at the forum of the Christian-Social Union (CSU) at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Bavaria, Markus Söder.

Rama, in an announcement on social networks, said that his presence is a rare event that shows how much Albania has progressed during his government. He also said that at the CSU forum he discussed issues such as political, economic, commercial and cultural cooperation.

But in fact, the reason why Rama was invited to this forum, according to the German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau, is completely different.

The Albanian Prime Minister was invited to promote the idea of ​​building refugee camps, according to the model of the agreement that Albania made with Italy, on the borders of the European Union.

The official announcement states that "the issue of immigration was at the center of the discussions between the CSU delegates and the Albanian Prime Minister on Thursday".

The German newspaper then shows how Rama has been one of the strongest voices against sending immigrants to third countries, but "he softened after Meloni promised him a ticket to the Brussels club".

It is not known whether Rama only promoted the idea of ​​building camps, or whether he was directly asked to do what he did with Italy, now also with Germany.
