Enkelejd Alibeaj spoke for the first time about the punishment of MP Ervin Salianji. For a file that was by his side when he was denounced, but not when the court made the decision to imprison him.

The democratic deputy stated that he regrets the punishment of Salianj, as he congratulated the latter for facing his shoulders with justice. He added that politicians should be coherent in terms of justice.

"It is serious that an individual's freedom is restricted. In the situation I am in as a politician, as a deputy, I have to take some time to get rid of my emotions. I had some kind of regret. I have the greatest regret for the family members of Salianj. They are the first to feel... I congratulate Salianj for the attitude he took to face the punishment.

A politician, when he has an account with justice, takes a stand and carries it with his own shoulders. Two months ago, 2 of the 3 judges judged the case of the seal. I swallowed the injustice done by those judges, because I believe that in politics you have to be coherent. In relation to the justice system, they should not have reacted in this matter as well", said Alibeaj in A2.
