Macedonian media have echoed the comment of Albanian journalist Marjana Doda, who suggests that official Tirana should not accept the separation from North Macedonia towards the path to the European Union.
According to Doda, North Macedonia has made enough sacrifices in the name of Europe and for Europe. According to her, this harms North Macedonia, a country that is already under pressure for its existence, first from Greece and now from Bulgaria.
Doda, who writes on the "Argumentum" portal, previously stated that Albania has become a "country for the crimes of Bulgarians against Macedonians", referring to the game of these countries with the minorities in our country.
According to her, the separation will first affect the relations between Tirana and Skopje, and may lead to the isolation of North Macedonia, a country with a large Albanian population.
"With the political changes in Macedonia and the strengthening of the right-wing parties, simultaneously with the departure of DUI in the last elections in the opposition, which was strongly lobbied by the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, the tension between Tirana and Skopje was felt. became more apparent. However, Prime Minister Rama has an important role to play in ensuring that Albanians in Macedonia feel included and supported in their aspirations. So, if not the Macedonians and the ruling party VMRO-DPMNE, then Albania and Prime Minister Rama should not leave Macedonia for the Albanians who are its state-forming factor.
Albanians across the border should not be at the mercy of fate, but the fellow travelers of their mother Albania in the European journey!
Albania and North Macedonia have a common history and many open questions regarding identity, culture and minorities. While both countries are engaged in a similar process of integration, the separation could lead to a deepening of historical and cultural tensions, potentially undermining stability in the region," she writes, among other things.
