Today, the former chairman of LSI, today the Freedom Party, Petrit Vasili, was summoned by SPAK in connection with the investigations into LSI's 700,000 dollar lobbying in the USA in 2016-2017. But according to the whistleblower of this affair, former deputy Halit Valteri, it is about an amount that reaches 1.2 million euros.
Invited to the 'Studio Live' show, Valteri said that black money was used in the offshore company in order to lobby for Ilir Meta in Washington. According to Valteri, Monika Kryemadhi and Ilir Meta will be the next to be called up to SPAK after Vasili. Valteri said that he has compiled a concrete file, which will soon bring one of the most corrupt people of this country to justice.
It is about an affair that is not about 700 thousand euros, but more than 1.2 million euros. We are talking about an SMI affair today, the Leku Party is involved, after black money was used in offshore firms, to lobby for Ilir Meta to take photos in the USA. In the following, Meta e Kryemadhi and a number of businessmen who have knowledge and have used their account or name to justify those few pennies and not very complete, which is 1.2 million dollars, will be called. SPAK has registered the criminal report. I got a clue from the Austrian newspaper 'Kronen Zeitung'. I traveled to Vienna and met with Austrian newspaper journalists and found support to get information and compile a concrete file that will soon bring one of the country's most corrupt people to justice.'- Valteri said.
Valteri said that Monika Kryemadhi, Ilir Meta, Petrit Vasili, Vangje Tavo and several businessmen risk prison.
Monika Kryemadhi, Petrit Vasili, Ilir Meta, Vagjel Tavo and several businessmen who Ilir Meta has used as pawns for his own interests are at risk of prison. They risk prison and only prison! Meta said in front of SPAK officers that I didn't sign anything, he said you have Monika and Vasili selling the closest collaborators. I believe very much in justice. Very soon one of the most corrupt people in the country will fall into SPAK's net, where we will see businesses in Lodra, South Africa and Tirana.'- said Valteri.
Valteri also challenged Meta to sue him for defamation.
"I'm asking Meta to file this lawsuit, lawyers in Vienna don't cost much, he can file a defamation lawsuit against me and Kronen Zeitung," Valteri said.
Valteri further said that a car concessionaire owner in Durrës has paid 107,000 euros for Meta to take a vacation
"He paid 107,000 euros from a car concessionaire owner for Meta to take a vacation," Valteri said.
SPAK's investigations started for corruption and forgery of documents, without naming the suspect, after Valteri's report, which accused the party led at the time by Ilir Meta, of having paid 700 thousand dollars for lobbying in the USA, including visits to the USA and a photo with former Republican President Donald Trump.
On May 16 of last year, the Austrian newspaper "Kronen Zeitung" published an article that pointed out that Meta paid $700,000 for lobbying through a Cypriot company to secure the photo at Trump's inauguration ceremony. As a result of this investigation, the prosecutor's office has sent letters to the USA, requesting invoices and other documents there, while it has also requested information from banks in Albania. Meta has rejected the accusations while the documents submitted to the American authorities show that at the beginning of 2017, LSI paid about 700 thousand dollars to the company McKeon Group. Other names involved in the transactions are the lawyer Iraklis Fidetzis, and the company "Dorelita Limited", registered as offshore in Cyprus.
