The Minister of Agriculture , Frida Krifca, has stated that the EU IPARD aid program for Albanian agriculture has not been stopped.

Krifca made the comments during her speech in the Assembly, where she said that the suspension of funds was done in order to prevent fraud from internal and external factors.

She also said that in no word of the EU announcement, the word corruption was mentioned.

" That Olaf does not come to Albania is not news. The only news was the announcement of the suspension of the next payment as a temporary interim preventive measure by the general directorate of agriculture in Brussels.

I can assure you that the funds management system and the procedure followed by AZHBR are exactly what are accredited by the EU.

The implementation of this program through accredited structures requires continuous improvements, in a sector that has problems of informality. An indisputable success of this country should not be subject to political consumption.

If we refer to the OLAF report, only 2 of them have irregularities. "There are only some of the countries where problems have been found and each of them has been forced to return the funds to the commission", said Krifca.
