Almost a year after the untimely death of singer Shpat Kasapi, the musical project "A je rahat pa mu" has been released. It was his wife Selvije Jao who announced it through a heartfelt post on Instagram.
Through a story on Instagram, Selvija revealed that the story of this song began shortly before Shpati entered "Big Brother VIP Albania 5", an experience that he did not get to live.
According to her, the singer had sent her four demo versions, asking her to choose her favorite. Selvija had chosen the song that was released today, while the original plan was for the project to be released during Shpati's stay at the famous house.
Selvija has described the publication as a legacy from Shpat, through which she wants his voice to continue to live on and never be forgotten.
"Before Shpati entered Big Brother Albania, he gave me four demos to listen to and asked me to choose the one I liked the most. I chose this particular song. We had planned to release it while he was inside Big Brother, but God had other plans. Around March or April, when I had forgotten about it, the song came to me finished by Shpati's producer,
A special thank you to Artirec, who handed me the song without any interest, from the heart, and who always stood by Shpati's side. Grateful for you and for everything you have done for him. Thanks also to Imperialb_sadiku for his work and dedication.
For months I kept this song to myself, because I wasn't ready to share it with the world. Today, the title "A je rahat pa mu" hurts me more than any other word... As if today it had a meaning that we couldn't imagine back then. I'm sharing it with you as a testament to Shpat, so that his voice will continue to live on and never be forgotten.
"Some songs, over time, are never heard the same again. Some become memories that live forever," she writes.
