Yesterday Paul Walker would have celebrated his 50th birthday, if fate had not reserved his tragic end 10 years ago.

The actor passed away in 2013 in a car accident, friends and relatives fondly remember every birthday anniversary, and there was no way to miss it this year either.

His friend as a brother, Vin Diesel in a long message on Instagram, between the lines remembers the most beautiful moments they have spent together.

In particular, he has published a photo of them together, which shows that it was taken on Paul Walker's 40th birthday.

“ A decade… ten long years… and yet it feels like yesterday when we were singing happy birthday to the big 40! The world is not the same bro… as a species one might say we are fighting. But I think of you and smile and know that everything will be fine.

I was going through pictures to celebrate this holy day. Memories flash before my eyes, one better than the other… but I couldn't get past this one. Funny, the little angel came into the office and looked over my shoulder. “This is such a timeless photo, Dad… a photo that will live on for generations of mankind…”

Of course I didn't turn back, haha no need for the kid to see his dad's tired eyes. As he leaves, he says: "That's why I want to build cars for him." He wasn't even born yet. It would be seven months later when you would tell the Fast crew and production, "Vince has to go to New York to meet his son." You had that ability to refocus everyone including an entire production on the important things in life.

To me this photo represents the moment I knew we would be brothers for eternity. January 2010, the night before you and I went to Haiti… the passion and joy you had to simply help people. You said that first responders shouldn't wait for anyone… and that you wanted to dedicate your life to it. To this day, I imagine if you were to write "first response" in the dictionary, it would be a picture of you. Haha. So, as much as I'd like to think we'd be cutting cake and singing happy birthday for the big 50! We probably couldn't… because you'd be in Maui or Morocco, or anywhere on this planet where people were in need.

I miss you… I love you, and I will continue to honor the beautiful soul that you are .
