In an interview with People magazine, American actress Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that she and husband Will Smith have been separated for seven years.

Speaking openly about her marriage for the first time since her husband made international headlines when he slapped comedian Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, the 52-year-old insisted they are still married. legally, but live apart.

During the interview, she explained that she had thought about getting a divorce, but could not make a decision.

"I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to divorce. We will work on everything and I just haven't been able to break that promise," she said.

Jada Pinkett Smith admitted in 2020 that she had a multi-year relationship with singer August Alsina.

Jada and Will married in 1997 and have two children together, Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22. Will has a third child, from a previous relationship.
