The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Policy, Kaja Kallas, has accused Russia of supporting Iran with intelligence information that aims, according to her, "to kill Americans" in the Middle East.
In a statement to the media, Kallas said that there are clear signals of Moscow's involvement in this cooperation.
"We're seeing Russia helping Iran, which is providing intelligence to target Americans, to kill them, and now Russia is also providing drones to Iran so that it can attack neighboring countries and American military bases," she said.
The senior European official further emphasized that ending tensions in the region requires a broader international approach. According to her, "if America wants the war in the Middle East to end, it must also put pressure on Russia to stop helping Iran in this direction."
Kallas' statements come at a time when the security situation in the Middle East remains tense, as international actors try to contain further escalation.
