The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, praised last night's meeting with the special envoy of the United States of America for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar and Ambassador Jeffery Hovenier Escobar, as a joint success with the USA.
According to the chief's office, the government is told that remembering the last meeting they had together from October last year, the prime minister thanked Escobar for the visit and talked about the developments that have marked these five months.
"The Prime Minister thanked Escobar for his role and contribution and that of the United States of America and said that the successes of Kosovo and its people are joint successes with the United States of America."
Meanwhile, regarding the regulation of the Central Bank, the OPM says that Kurti had a meaningful discussion focused on addressing common concerns.
"As for the decision of the Central Bank, it is the decision of an independent and professional institution. Due to the impact of the regulation on the Serbian community of Kosovo, the government has taken actions to ensure that the transition is quick and easy for the citizens of Kosovo from the Serbian community".
The announcement then states that "in this regard, the Prime Minister emphasized the proposals that have been presented for the transitional period and offered cooperation in quickly addressing all concerns that fall within the government's competences."
Prime Minister Kurti also said that the attack on the vice president of Zveçan, Natasha Tomanić, must be condemned.
"The attack is a continuation of Serbia's threats to the security of Kosovo after the terrorist and paramilitary attack of September 24 in Banjska, where the sergeant of the Kosovo Police, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed, while the leaders of this attack are still free and protected in Serbia ".
