Masked persons have attacked with stones a group of Kosovo Klan journalists today in Zupç, north of Kosovo.
As a result of hitting the window of the car with which the Klan Kosova team was traveling to Zubin Potok with stones, the journalist Qendresa Bellagoshi and the leader Elsad Sinani were injured.
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo has reacted in relation to this case, where it emphasizes that the continuous attacks pose a serious threat to the safety of journalists and prevent reporting on the developments in the north.
"In an alarming trend, AGK has been notified today of another serious attack against journalists reporting from the north of the country.
Masked persons have attacked the Kosovo Klan team in Zubin Potok.
The team consisting of journalists Qendresa Bellagoshi, Drin Demiri, cameraman Agon Bejtullahu and driver Elsad Sinani, were attacked today in the village of Zupç. The journalist Bellagoshi and the driver Sinani received medical treatment, after the windows of the car broken by stones hit them in the face. Meanwhile, Demiri and Bejtullah escaped unharmed.
The Kosovo Police has also been notified of the case.
The ongoing attacks pose a serious threat to the safety of journalists and prevent reporting on developments in the north. Therefore, AGK asks KFOR and EULEX to play an additional role to guarantee the physical safety of journalists, who continue to be the target of attacks organized by groups of masked people."
