Arben Vitia returns as Minister of Health in Kosovo

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today appointed Arben Vitia, Minister of Health.

Vitia resigned from the position of Minister of Health in October of last year to participate in the local elections for mayor in the Municipality of Pristina, a race which he lost against the candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Përparim Rama.

Vitia also served as Minister of Health in the Kurti 1 Government in 2020.

After his resignation, about a month later, Rifat Latifi was appointed Minister of Health. However, the latter resigned on October 6, almost a year after taking office.

Since then, Kosovo has been the acting Minister of Health, Dafina Gexha-Bunjaku.
