A 43-year-old Scottish man, part of local criminal gangs, was executed inside his bar by a hitman, still unidentified to the authorities.

The footage shows the perpetrator dressed in black approaching the target, Ross Monaghan, as he shoots him with a barrage of bullets, leaving him dead on the spot.

At one point, the gunman is seen falling to the ground, as Monaghan tries to intentionally run away to escape death.

Before the perpetrator entered to kill the 43-year-old, he had executed his accomplice, Eddie Lyons Jr., outside the bar.

So far, local authorities have not arrested anyone, while a special group has been set up to investigate the incident.

Meanwhile, the wife of one of the victims was also a witness at the scene. The hitman initially left on foot and then joined his accomplice to leave in a car, the same one who had accompanied him before the incident.

Ross Monaghan, who fled Scotland for Spain after a failed assassination attempt, was tried but acquitted of murdering notorious Glasgow criminal Kevin 'Gerbil' Carroll in an Asda car park in 2010.

In August 2017, he and Eddie Lyons Jr, both members of the Lyons Glasgow crime family, were acquitted of charges of involvement in a brutal street attack on three men outside the Campsie bar in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire.

The shooting in Spain comes amid a violent gang war that has engulfed Scotland since March, and is said to have started over a drug dispute.
