Ukraine's counteroffensive against Russian aggressors will continue in the coming months, despite worsening weather conditions, kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukraine's intelligence agency, said on Saturday.

"The fighting will continue one way or another. In the cold, in the rain and in the mud, it's harder to fight. The fighting and counteroffensive will continue," Mr. Budanov said, Reports America's Zeri.

The Ukrainian counteroffensive has yielded more results in the south, where defense forces have managed to liberate over 10 villages in the past three months.

Ukraine's armed forces are making "gradual tactical advances" against Russia's defensive line east of the city of Robotyne, the British Defense Ministry said saturday in its daily announcement on Russian agitation towards Ukraine.
The counteroffensives undertaken by Ukraine has been slower than expected due to large minefields and the deployment of Russian troops.

Budanov's comments, made during a news conference in Kyiv, show ukraine has no intention of stopping its counterattack when the weather worsens in the coming months.

The results of the counteroffensive have raised concerns among Kiev supporters that the West could face an uphill battle to keep aiding Ukraine, as well as the necessary military support for Kiev to continue fighting with the same intensity.
