TRAGEDY in MOROCCO/ The number of victims reaches over 2000, thousands of people

The number of people who have lost their lives from the 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Morocco has increased.

Foreign media report that so far the number of victims has reached 2012, while around 2,059 people are injured, of which 1,404 are in serious condition.

Excavations under the ruins continue, while the number of victims, according to experts, is expected to increase again. Morocco has announced three days of mourning after the tragic earthquake, while today the flags are lowered to half-mast.

Along with many countries offering aid, Algeria has said it was ready to open its airspace in support of Morocco, despite cutting ties with its neighbor two years ago.
