The show Fiks Fare broadcast on Monday evening the denunciation of a citizen from the village of Babunje in Divjaka, who was investigated and his car was seized for the opposition protest on October 29, 2024.
Emirjon Krasniqi, the father of two minor children, told Fiksi that on October 29 he was running away with his family, his wife, two children and granddaughter to a wedding in the village of Ferraj in Fier.
At 5:05 p.m., he was at the Levan roundabout days and hours that coincided with the opposition's protest for the blocking of several main roads in Albania with the motto "civil disobedience".
He got stuck there, stayed for about 15 minutes and then, with the help of a journalist, took a secondary road and went to the village of Ferraj, where he had a wedding at his uncle's. He said that during this time, for 10-15 minutes, his Volkswagen Passat, of the year 2000, remained motionless.
"I did my rituals at my uncle's house and then at 21:00 I went to a bar in Roskovec, where the wedding ceremony took place, where I stayed until the early hours of November 30. In the morning of this date, I went home and on the morning of November 30, the local police took me to report to the Divjaka Police. I went to the police and stayed for 3 hours. No one told me what he had done. I went by car and parked the car in front. After 3 hours, a van arrived and they escorted me to the Fier Police as if I were a criminal. The police were telling me about a verification," he says.
In Fier, they asked him what he wanted on October 29 in Levan. "I told them I was for a wedding. I was told that the drone captured your stationary vehicle. I told him I had two children, my granddaughter and my wife. Dressed for a wedding and how would I go to a protest with small children?! And what did I want from Babunja to Levan, when that day I had Rrogozhina closer. They gave me some papers to sign, but they didn't give me anything with them. They tell me we will block the car.
From Fieri, I went to the Divjaka Police again and drove the car into the police with my own hands. It's still there," he adds, adding that on the day of the protest there are photos and videos of the wedding. In these pictures, Emirjoni can be seen together with his family, having dinner and dancing on July 29.
"I have never protested. I've had a lot of car work messed up. Instead of impounding politicians' cars, they impound my 2000 Passat. I have elderly people at home, sick people, and I use it for work. I need the vehicle, I don't have money to wander up and down to get my car" he concludes.
Together with Emirjoni, the group of Fiks Fare goes to the Police of Divjaka, where they are looking for the boss and the reason why his vehicle was blocked. The employee is not aware of the blockage, nor of any document. He goes and asks the Chief of the Police Station and after a few minutes he replies that "it is a decision from the Local Police Directorate of Fier". According to him, the procedures were done there. Fiksi asks him whether or not the Police of Divjaka have any decision to block and he answers that "Emirjoni must have".
"I have not been given any blocking document. They decided to block this vehicle of mine from the year 2000," he says. They ask him that the traffic on October 29 was blocked by right-wing deputies and mayors, even with luxury vehicles, among them was the vehicle of deputy Flamur Noka in Tirana. "They eat the weakest," adds Ermirjoni.
Fiksi asks the Local Police Directorate of Fier for information about the reason for the blockage and whether the destination has been verified. In response, the Local Police Department of Fier writes that the investigations were carried out under the direction of the prosecution, where Emirjon Krasniqi was accompanied with the vehicle.
"At the end of the investigations, Emirjoni was processed in a free state for the criminal offense of "Obstructing the circulation of transport vehicles", and the Volkswagen Passat type vehicle with license plate AA 857 OJ was seized. From the first investigative actions, based on the footage provided, it turned out that the vehicle was found in the place where the protest took place (Levan Roundabout), located in a way that blocked the free movement of other vehicles. And from the footage, it appears that Emirjon was also present during the time of the road block. A copy of the seizure of the vehicle was given to him by the Judicial Police Officer," writes the Fier Police.
Fiksi asked the police that the informant had gone to the wedding and why the destination was not verified, since the citizen also has photos and videos. The police replied that the actions were carried out under the direction of the prosecution and for the return of the vehicle the citizen should contact this body. The police have removed the responsibility from themselves, writing that there is film footage. In fact, some media that were present at the protest filmed Emirjon. He is wearing the same outfit as at the wedding, black pants and a white shirt. On the face of it, it seems that the citizen is asking for his way to be cleared.
