The "secret meeting" Kosovo-Serbia in Switzerland was held a week

Kosovar and Serbian representatives have held "secret meetings" in Switzerland, regarding the situation between the two countries.

This is what the Swiss medium "NZZ am Sonntag" reported a few days ago.

The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, in a response to the Telegraph, has confirmed that there have been meetings of this type.

Further in their answer it is stated that such a meeting recently took place a week after the departure of the Serbs from the institutions of Kosovo.

"Since 2015, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs has supported the official EU negotiations with complementary informal meetings with representatives of the main political parties from both countries. This enabled them to exchange views on political issues and build trust. The last meeting took place in Switzerland a week after the Serbs withdrew from the Kosovar institutions", says the FDFA's response to the Telegraph.

The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs further added that Switzerland supports the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations.

"The normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo is an important part of promoting stability and development in the Western Balkans. "Switzerland supports the efforts for normalization between Serbia and Kosovo and has made this clear repeatedly in its official contacts", it is said, among other things, in the answer.

FDFA has also announced that the two chief negotiators Besnik Beslimi and Petar Petkovic have so far never met in the described format, or as reported "secret meetings".

The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs further added that for reasons of confidentiality we do not comment further on this issue.

Otherwise, the Serbian media have reported that present at these meetings, Serbia was represented by Nemjana Starović, Sanda Rasković Iviq, Branko Ruzhiq, Gjorgje Pavičević, while Kosovo was represented by Mimoza Kusari of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Lutfi Haziri of the LDK and Ardian Gjini of the AAK- of.

Telegrafi has contacted Kusari-Lila, Hazir and Gjini, but they have not responded until the moment of publication of the article.

Regarding these reports, so far there has been no reaction from the Government of Kosovo. /T
