Advanced Israeli systems were secretly sold to Qatar and Saudi Arabia

An investigation by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz claims that leading Israeli defense industry companies have secretly supplied Qatar and Saudi Arabia with advanced military systems worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

According to documents and photographs analyzed by Israeli media, Elbit Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) have participated in projects that include missile defense systems for the Qatari royal family's VIP aircraft, as well as advanced components for the Qatari and Saudi Arabian F-15 fighter jet fleets.

One of the key findings relates to the installation of Elbit's C-MUSIC system on three aircraft of the Qatari royal family. The system identifies missiles with infrared seeker and uses a laser beam to deflect them, protecting the aircraft from surface-to-air missile attacks.

According to Haaretz, one of these aircraft was also used by the Emir of Qatar during a visit to Tehran last year.

The investigation also reveals that Israeli companies have been subcontractors to Qatar's US F-15QA fighter jet program, supplying structural components, aircraft equipment, night vision goggles and advanced JHMCS helmets, which project flight information onto the pilot's visor.

According to the documents cited, Qatar has purchased about 160 JHMCS helmets, with an estimated value of about $35 million.

The material claims that Saudi Arabia has also benefited from similar equipment through the US F-15SA aircraft program. In this case, it mentions hundreds of combat helmets and night vision devices manufactured by enterprises that include Israeli companies.

The investigation notes that these collaborations took place despite the fact that Israel has no official diplomatic relations with Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
