Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his intention to resign under certain conditions during the "Ukraine. Year 2025" forum, clarifying, however, that electoral defeat is not one of these conditions.
As the Economist wrote, in the event of elections in Ukraine, Zelensky would lose to the former head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny.
Zelensky is ready to give up power in favor of peace, or "in exchange for Ukraine's accession to NATO."
According to Zelensky, a summit with the participation of European leaders will be held in Kiev tomorrow, which could be a turning point.
Zelensky also added that the list of negotiators should include Ukraine, the United States, Russia and the EU.
As for the agreement with the US on rare metals, it was an amount of $100 billion and not $500 billion.
Zelensky stressed that he is not ready to give the money, which was initially given as a grant, but turned into debt, and stated that he will not sign a document for which generations of Ukrainians will pay later. “I don’t even recognize $100 billion. We agreed with Biden that this was a grant! A grant is not a debt,” he said.
In exchange for an economic deal with the US, Zelensky continues to demand that America stop Putin and provide 100% protection of the airspace over Ukraine, in a "win-win" deal as he described it.
These conditions have so far been completely ignored by the American side.
