In Serbia, a letter has been made public that will be placed on the Serbian part of the border, where it is shown how the documents of the Republic of Kosovo will be accepted for free movement, but that they do not mean the acceptance of Kosovo's independence from Serbia.

Enabling the use of identity cards issued by Prishtina (Kosovo) is done exclusively for practical reasons, in order to facilitate the position of individuals and enable their free movement. In accordance with the Agreement on Free Movement reached in 2011, it cannot be accepted as a recognition of the unilateral independence of Kosovo, and it is without prejudice to the final status of Kosovo, nor can it be interpreted that Serbia renounces its rights according to Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council" , it is written in the document.

The achievement of the agreement was announced on Saturday afternoon by the head of European diplomacy, Joseph Borell, and it was greeted by the international factor.

For the first time, Serbia will accept the identity cards of the Republic of Kosovo, without the additional document that was given to citizens of Kosovo entering there.
