Jewish media report that Serbia is the European country behind a $1.64 billion agreement signed with Israeli defense giant Elbit Systems.

Elbit last week announced the deal to supply its long-range artillery and missile systems and unmanned aerial vehicles, but did not name the customer.

As part of the five-year defense contract, Elbit will supply a range of AI-powered unmanned aerial combat systems, including personally operated drones for tactical and operational use.

The contract is for the supply of Barley long-range artillery missiles and defense products equipped with advanced intelligence, surveillance, capture and reconnaissance, known as ISTAR, as well as communication and signal intelligence systems. It also includes the delivery of advanced electro-optical and night vision systems.
