Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump answered questions from journalists during the meeting at the White House.
Zelensky has praised US First Lady Melania Trump's letter to Vladimir Putin, asking him to end the war to stop the suffering of Ukrainian children, and handed Trump a letter from his wife, Olena Zelenska.
"Thank you" - Trump told him, but Zelensky interrupted him by telling him that the letter was sent to Melania, which caused laughter in the hall.
Trump has expressed optimism about achieving long-term peace in Ukraine.
"I have stopped 7 wars, I believe that he will achieve this as well. I thought it was easy but it's not. We need long-term peace, not that it starts again after two years. We can achieve it today," Trump said, among other things.
The journalist who criticized Zelensky in the first meeting for not wearing a suit was also in the room. This time he told her "you look good" as he complimented her on the new appearance.
