The White House has requested that Volodymyr Zelensky wear a suit and tie during his Oval Office meeting with Donald Trump, according to reports.
The Ukrainian president has been asked to dress nicely after his daily military attire became a hot spot at the February meeting, which turned into a fierce fight.
This time, the White House has asked Mr. Zelensky to wear a suit and tie to meet with the US president, sources told the Wall Street Journal.
It is not yet clear what Zelensky will decide to wear, although it has been reported that he may compromise by wearing a dark jacket over a black T-shirt, the same outfit he wore at Pope Francis' funeral.
At his meeting in the Oval Office in February, Zelensky said he would wear a suit after Ukraine is no longer at war.
It has also been revealed that J.D. Vance will be present at his meeting in the Oval Office with Trump, in which European leaders will not attend. The vice president was the first to engage in exchanges of hostility with Zelensky before Trump intervened.
