Trump meets with European leaders, Zelensky: We will talk about the issue of

US President Donald Trump has met with the leaders of six European countries, France, Germany, Italy, Britain, as well as NATO chief Mark Rutte, Ursula Von Der Leyen and Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky, to discuss the possibilities of ending the war in Ukraine.

Zelensky has called the meeting very important and a step forward on the path to peace. He said that they discussed security guarantees, but added that on more sensitive issues such as territory, he will discuss during the trilateral meeting with Trump and Vladimir Putin, for which he is ready to participate.

"We had a very good conversation with President Trump. Not the best, the best is to come, but it was very good. We talked about security guarantees. I was grateful to your wife for the kidnapped children, I hope it is historic, for the people who bring the children back. We hope that we will find a solution. Sensitive things, territory, and others, we will discuss at the trilateral meeting. This is very important. We need all people behind us, not only children, but also prisoners of war", said Zelensky.


"You will see some positive movements. I believe that 1 thousand prisoners of war will be released. It was a very good meeting, thank you for the positive assessment," Trump said.

"We have to play this well, and put an end to it as soon as possible. We must put an end to it. I want to thank you for what you are doing but also your European colleagues," said NATO chief Mark Rutte.
