Russia receives peace plan from US, Putin: Modernized version of what I

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia has received the US plan for peace in Ukraine.

Speaking at a meeting of the Russian security council in Moscow, the Russian president said the plan was a "modernized" version of proposals originally discussed at the summit in Alaska in August.

He added that the US had asked the Russian side to show flexibility in the solution and said that this could form a basis for the final resolution of the war.

The plan has been described by Ukrainians as capitulation, as it calls for the surrender of territory to Russia and the reduction of Ukraine's military power.
