Russia has threatened NATO with hitting convoys with military aid it is offering Ukraine, stating that for Moscow, they are legitimate targets.
"Efforts to slow down our special military operation and cause will be severely suppressed. The US and the west must have this clear," the Russian Foreign Ministry said through a statement.
The statement precedes Washington's decision to offer the next package of military aid to Ukraine, worth about $750ml. At the same time, the European Union approved an additional $543 m in military aid to Kiev.
The epicenter of the war has already shifted south, where Mariupoli is completely desolate. Russia declared a day earlier that thousands of Ukrainian soldiers had surrendered, while Kiev denied it.
In parallel, the Hague International Tribunal is investigating possible war crimes in the war for Mariupol, where there are reports that the Russians have also used chemical weapons.
