Exchange of fire and casualties during the last days on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as tensions have been rekindled today where a large military presence has been noticed.
The Armenian Defense Ministry said three soldiers were killed on September 1 by intense shelling near the border with Azerbaijan in the northwest of the separatist Nagorno-Karabakh region.
While today, dozens of "T-72 Aslan" model tanks and several combat helicopters of the Azeri army have been deployed near the border with Armenia.
Azeris accuse the Armenian army of breaking the ceasefire agreement by opening fire in the village of Havush in the Nakhchivan exclave.
"It is unusual for Armenian forces to target Azerbaijan's military posts in Nakhchivan, mainly due to the strategic advantage of Azerbaijan's elevated positions. These high-altitude posts enable the Azerbaijani army to easily target the Armenian army," Azeri media reports.
