After the failed and extremely tense meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, European leaders have reacted.
In a post on social media, Polish Prime Minister and former EC President Donald Tusk addressed Zelensky and said: "Dear Ukrainian friends, you are not alone."
Germany and France support Ukraine
On the other hand, President Macron, asked about this debate while visiting Portugal, said that Russia is the aggressor country and that Ukraine is being attacked.
According to Macron, it is important to show respect to those who have fought from the beginning to defend the dignity, rights and security of Europe.
The French president stressed that European countries and other allies were right to help Ukraine for 3 years and sanction Russia.
Germany has also lined up with Kiev, showing solidarity. "We stand with our European allies on Ukraine's side against Russian aggression. Ukraine can count on our support," said Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
US Democrats: Trump works for Putin
American Democrats have also reacted.
"Trump and Vice President Vance are doing the dirty work for Vladimir Putin," said Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer.
Russia aligns itself with Trump
Russia has also reacted after today's meeting at the White House between Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, which was accompanied by tensions and harsh tones.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said Zelensky received a "strong slap" in his talks with Donald Trump at the White House.
"A slap in the Oval Office," Medvedev, who is deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, posted on Telegram.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said it was a miracle that Trump and Vice President JD Vance had restrained themselves from hitting Zelensky during the debate.
Meanwhile, earlier, Kirill Dmitriev, the Kremlin's special envoy for international economic and investment cooperation, described the White House meeting between Trump and Zelensky as "historic."
