Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reacted immediately after leaving the White House, in a meeting with Donald Trump that went badly and was interrupted due to heated arguments.
Zelensky chose to say "thank you" to the Americans after being accused by Vice President JD Vance of not doing so for the assistance the US had provided.
"Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you, President of the United States, Congress, and the American people."
"Ukraine needs a just and lasting peace, and we are working for exactly that," Zelensky said on social media.
Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS , Congress, and the American people.
