Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on "Russia 1" television about Donald Trump's return to the White House and how this development will affect Europe.
The Russian president praised the Republican's ability to "quickly restore order" to European elites, who until recently "were carrying out all of Biden's orders."
"I assure you: Trump, with his character, with his persistence, will restore order there (in Europe) very quickly. And everyone, you will see, will stand at the feet of their master and wag their tails a little. Everything will fall into place," Putin said.
European elites liked Joe Biden more, but Donald Trump has different ideas about what is good and what is bad, the Russian president added, adding that "Europe gladly carried out every order from Washington under Biden."
“Politicians in Europe fought Trump, interfered in the election process in the US and after his victory they got confused,” Putin said at another point, emphasizing that “European leaders of the past had the courage to fight for their views, while today, according to him, European elites consist of individuals who are politically insignificant. “From the point of view of European interests, this is a disaster,” Putin said.
Regarding the events of Auschwitz and the fact that Russia was not invited to them, Putin said that "this is, of course, something so strange and shameful for those who did it."
