Greece in earthquake panic, authorities alert citizens: Schools to be closed

The Greek state was in a state of panic due to earthquakes.

Greek authorities have notified citizens on the island of Santorini that they must close schools starting Monday and avoid indoor gatherings, due to the increase in seismic activity in recent days.

On Friday and Saturday, earthquakes with a magnitude of 4.3 were recorded in the area between the islands of Santorini and Amorgos. According to the Civil Ministry, the activity was not related to volcanic activity, while they proposed taking precautionary measures and closing schools on February 3.

Meanwhile, according to the Athens Geodynamic Institute, earthquake tremors with magnitudes of 2.8 and 4.5 were felt today, without causing damage.
